resetting the economy would not do anything to address the core issue of why things have gotten like this in the first place. hence all resetting it would do would change things for 1 or 2 weeks at max, and then it would go right back to how it is now

best solution is for merchants to sell all items. obviously some priced a lot more expensively than others.

or they can increase drop rates by about 100 billion fold. and make it so henchmen never get drops

except even with that, it doesn't do much good

because if botters can make more money with botting before being banned than what they have to shell out for the price of a new game, then they will keep botting forever. hence banning them has no effect on getting them to stop botting

Hardly, young podling - you have much to learn.

Thus, you join the legion of people who beleive if they don't get what they want whenever they want it, the game is hosed, screwed, unbalanced, ruined, etc. etc.

There are words to describe you, but I'll save that for the others to do.

There are some rather important items that aren't available from the collectors - 15% while health above swords and axes, and 20/20 healing staves for starters. I'd like to get myself that collector Longbow, but hell if I know how I'm going to pharm the shells for it.

The real pain is the upgrades. While some of the good ones are pretty common, there are some key upgrades (+5 strings, 20% enchanting parts) that are virtually impossible to find. There aren't exactly viable alternatives to those, either.

Still, looking pretty good all things considered. With the rune trader, there are only a couple things left that need to be cleaned up before grinding gold will truly be a luxury.

Peace,
-CxE

Chaos Axes drop like crazy in Fissure of Woe. Seriously. I sold three of them yesterday for 300 gold each because I needed the inventory space and I can't say I felt like trying to drain money out of someone who has never been to FoW before.

Collector items actually really rock. I just wish the collector would actually show all the stats on an item. Like, theres a collector (in the desert I think?) who gives a max damage long bow with +10% damage with health above 50%. People try to sell bows like that for a decent amount.

TD, You just made my ignore list and I never even met you. What an ego you must have, and totally unjustified from my reckoning. I've seen several like you reading these forums. People like you make me keep my local chat off in game, play with henchmen, and use the items that drop for myself. Oddly I still have gold max damage weapons and other items and runes, and didn't pay people like you a cent.

But you're much more elite than anyone else, in your own mind. Find some humility or just be one of the trash talking, chest thumping junior high school playground types that abound.

edited to better reflect the target of my disdain

Hmmm, I tend to have 5k on me max, maybe I better start farming - no wait ! I'll just give up work, that'll give me loads of time to get money and monitor the markets...

wow... derision, condescension, malice and vitriol... all in one post. There are words to describe you too.

And frankly, that's like the third or so harsh reply I've read where you totally go off on the poster. However accurate or eloquent you're points may be, there's no need for such mean spirited responses. Everyone has a right to express their opinion without getting flamed for it. I'm surprised that the moderators just let this stuff go without doing anything at all. Guess the following is just lip service around here...

As I said many times before, with an upgrade trader, in theory, the economy will be perfect. However, people who complain about the economy are seldom complaining about upgrades. Ironically, they whine about the prices of GOLD weapons with high damage mods. Only when people can stop being so superficial and take a stand, saying " I will use this appalling and disgusting looking collector's item because it is every bit as good as a gold one" can the economy be sufficient. Honestly, if you are not able to get the gold, you can fallback on collectors items. It is nothing but sheer vanity which is currently driving the economy. I agree with the topic creator that people are too greedy, but the ones who are truly being greedy are the buyers even moreso than the sellers.

Just to make sure we all understand Van: (and supporters)

You were 'spamming" the city zone you were in trying to sell your uberleet weapons.
A competitior began offering MORE uberleet equipment for sale.
You attempted to buy it off her so you could hold the monopoly on today's leet-market.
She said no thanks.
So you pitch a fit, accuse her of underhanded practices, and of course the game is totally hosed and unbalanced because she refused your lousy offer and made you mad?

Yes, PLEASE add me to your ignore list! I'll pay you to do it. ROFLMAO.

Your pal,
Tal
